We are excited to once again invite you to join us for a very special retreat in the heart of French Occitania. The core of our time together will be based on the Freedom Through Releasing process of Dr Isa and Yolanda Lindwall (www.releasing.org), and also WE-space presencing practices which allow us to take our inner work even further into the space of our mutual connection and our connection with all of life in trust, openness and love.
As we come together with a genuine desire for the highest not only for ourselves but also for each other, we find that our issues gently dissolve in this space of mutual love and trust. And as our hearts open more and more, we are in deeper contact with ourselves and those around us. Old wounds may be healed and blockages dissolved for ourselves and the whole. A sense of connectedness and oneness arises which very naturally continues after the workshop.

We will also be opening to and deeply embodying the spirit of the land where we find ourselves: looking south, gently rolling hills give way to a spectacular backdrop of the high Pyrenees. This is the land where Mary Magdalene and her followers are said to have lived, leaving sites dedicated to her memory even today and a tangible presence rooted deep in the earth. It is also the Pays Cathare, that part of Europe where a fertile culture of peace and understanding flourished in the 12th century between the Cathar people and the local Catholic and Jewish communities. A golden age of culture, tolerance and understanding which ended with the so-called Albigensian Crusade, the total genocide of the Cathars. The eternal flame of spirit and sacred way of love which they embraced could not be extinguished and lives on in the land to this day.

“Your eyes are the windows of the soul, they are precious and sacred. We will work with the principle that we are created by light and that human perception is light perceiving light.

EYESIGHT
This three day workshop will bring clear examples of how to look after eyes in your day to day life. We will repeat basic routines, and we hope and intend that you will leave with a sense of satisfaction so that you may continue with the benefits of the techniques you have learned. Your eyes are the windows of the Soul, they are precious and sacred.

INSIGHT
Our eyesight governs our sensory perception, the gateway to the inner world of memories, visions and dreams. Through daily meditations sessions we will explore the deeper levels of seeing, opening to intuitive insight and meditation in a loving supportive environment where we can open and journey together. Through becoming aware of of the relationship between our outer world experience and our inner world reactions, we can find solutions to our eye problems. Our mediation practice, some with live music, will concentrate on visualisations of the seven chakras and their colours.

YOGA
Daily Hatha yoga classes will be given by Gillian Rice-Duncan, co owner of Santosha Yoga Retreat Centre. The yoga classes will be an open level, and available to all levels. We will pay particular attention to where we focus our eyes during the sessions, A daily yoga Nidra session is also included in the workshops. We have a limited number pf mats, blankets and props.

FOOD FOR THE EYES:
Eat the Rainbow! All meals will be organic and vegan, with a balance of cooked and raw foods, and will be as colourful as the season allows. Carotenoids are pigments that give fruits and vegetables their vibrant red, orange, yellow and green colours, and are essential for healthy eyes. Your meals will also be rich in in vitamin C and E, Omega 3 fatty acids and selenium.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Daily sessions on the beautiful roof terrace yoga deck, focusing on long and short distances per day (weather permitting).
Daily palming, Yoga Nidra, Brain Gymnastics, Banda exercises, Kriyas, Yoga for the eyes, candle gazing, visualisations, Kundalini breath work, meditation, Hatha Yoga, walks through the countryside of Conilhac de la Montagne, discussion and journal writing.

YOUR FACILITATORS
Over the past few decades, Willamina Bridget Lytton-Minor, an accomplished Kundalini Yoga Teacher, has developed what she calls Yoga for the Eyes, which are both meaninful and enjoyable. She specialises in hydrotherapy and Pranayama and is a lifelong vegetarian. At the age of 92 she is still enthusiastic about good vision, and helping people to become less dependant on glasses. Or even doing without them completely. She has been running residential eye courses for 12 years, and does not wear glasses herself.

Gillian Rice-Duncan is the co-owner of Santosha Yoga Retreat and Healing Centre. She is a certified 300hr yoga teacher, and was a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Louisiana, USA before moving to France. A vegetarian for over 23 years, and now vegan, her passion for complimentary therapies, especially concerning diet, will be reflected in the meals you will receive here.

The cost of these workshops reflects our gift to you. We are just covering our costs, and Willamina Bridget is sharing her teachings for no monetary gain. If you enjoy the teachings and wish to make a donation to Santosha Yoga, it will be very much appreciated.

DAILY ATTENDANCE:
Each day will commence at 10am and finish at 4.30om. An organic vegan lunch will be provided, as well as morning coffee and tea throughout the day. You may attend one day for €25 euros, or all three for €60.
Several evenings will feature activities such as chanting and chakra meditations with live music from Peter Bailey.

Learn to properly navigate through the use of all props for a true and official Restorative Yoga Class, which is low to the ground and ever supportive. The use of bolsters, blankets, straps, blocks, bricks, sandbags and more are applied.

Useful to bringing homeostasis and accessible to any age, capability, injury, sickness, or level of anxiousness, depression, low immune system ,compromised emotional state, mood swings and heightened nervous system. Perfect especially for task oriented, competitive and goal mindsets in recalibrating them back to the potent affects of inner stability, inner noise reduction and projection outward, which is most of the West!

Don’t want to teach Restorative Yoga? No problem! This course is also for those that simply want to understand how to set up their poses, get the background, science and safety as well as do Restorative Yoga within the Course and as a home practice!

In this Restorative Yoga Teacher Training ,you will learn to properly:
1. Set up props and understand their use
2. Modify all poses according to different bodies
3. Understand the science, anatomy, subtle body, physical, mental and emotional benefits of each pose
4. Relate to Restorative Yoga as Therapy to address specific ailments
5. Create atmosphere, safety and eagle eye contra-indications
6. Relate the anatomy of specific pose types to their function on the body with a break down of Corpse Pose, Backbends, Inversions, Twists, Forward Folds and Hip Openers.
7. Subtle Body discussion of the Vayus from an Ayurvedic perspective

A SHORT BIO of Swan Michelle:

Swan Michelle has been teaching yoga full time in New Orleans, the Gulf Region and Internationally since 1998, for 20 years! She is the Founder of Swan River Yoga (3 locations), created the first Yoga Teacher Training in New Orleans, which is called Swan School, and trains and leads full time International workshops in Bhakti Yoga, Sound Therapy, Restorative Yoga, Ayurveda Yoga Therapy, Energy Medicine and Yoga Nidra.

She helped open the first Prasad Vegan Cafe in New Orleans, Good Karma Cafe, is a singer in Bhakti Caravan, and leads numerous Sound Baths with sacred instruments.

She has studied with Radhanath Swami, Sharon Gannon, Ram Dass and Dr Marc Halpern as her primary yoga teachers. She is initiated in the Hanuman Bhakti lineage under Neem Karoli Baba, and has certifications in Jivamukti Yoga, Sivananda Yoga & Anusara Yoga.

Each room has it’s own bathroom equipped with multiple showers and toilets. Your meals will be 100% organic, and vegan (some dairy at breakfast), and locally sourced wherever possible. Guests are advised to arrive the night before, ready for the commencement of the teachings early the next day.
The cost of 4 nights accommodation, 3 meals per day plus breakfast on 29th is €265 or £240. If you require an evening meal on Sunday 25th, please inform Gillian before arrival.
